Language Justice Audits

The Boca Language Justice Audit seeks to promote linguistic inclusion, ensure equity in language use, and combat language disparities within the contexts in which it is proposed.

It is always customized and specially prepared to meet the purposes of its/its clients within their realities.

Why observe language practices?

Whether within an institution or a project, the social justice scenario has sought to observe linguistic justice practices in its actions.

More and more organizations are paying attention to the way they deal with linguistic access, either to make their work and materials more easily accessible to more people, or to improve internal communication among staff members.

Linguistic mapping

Boca Audits help institutions understand their demands for language access and inclusion by gathering information about current language practices, analyzing and diagnosing this information, and, lastly, providing recommendations for further implementation.

Each organization has customized suggestions that are best suited to the day-to-day activities and possibilities of each team.

Collective Movement

The discussion on Linguistic Justice and its practices is one of the collective movements gaining strength in the Transformative Justice scene and in the Third Sector.

There is nothing more sensible than seeking to diminish the sources of oppression and truly seeking to facilitate the access of different voices to the discussions of current paradigms. This means making room for non-dominant languages and fostering other actions that can shorten the distance between speakers of different languages.
